Roker Hotel is a flexible, capacity-led coastal venue for multicultural weddings of every tradition. Whether you are planning a Mehndi, a Nikah, a Walima or a fusion reception bringing families and cultures together, our spaces adapt to your customs, your styling and your guest list.
The Ballroom hosts banquets for up to 300 guests, the contemporary Seaton Suite seats up to 160, and Exclusive Roker Events hire gives you an entire events building for larger or multi-format celebrations. Menus can be adapted to cultural and dietary requirements, and specialist caterers are welcome by arrangement.
Many families celebrate over several days. We can sequence events across consecutive dates, extend access for décor installation and reserve accommodation for guests — all coordinated by one dedicated team.

The Seaton Suite
Banqueting capacity: up to 160 guests (Seaton Suite 1: up to 100 · Seaton Suite 2: up to 60)
Ceremony capacity: up to 250 guests theatre-style

What’s included: use of the Seaton Suite, private bar, air conditioning, screens and projectors, tables, chairs and standard linen, plus a dedicated coordinator.
Access times: set-up and clear-down windows agreed in advance and confirmed at booking.
Exclusive Hire – Roker Events
Combined capacity: up to 160 guests banqueting or 250 for ceremonies in the Seaton Suite, plus the Lighthouse & Pier rooms (up to 60) for preparation, prayer, a children’s area or supplier space.
What exclusive hire includes: sole use of the Roker Events building — the Seaton Suite, reception lounge, private bar and Lighthouse & Pier rooms — with your own entrance and on-site parking.
Hire pricing structure: from £X, quoted on your dates, format and number of days.
Operational notes: décor installation and clear-down windows, supplier access and finish times are agreed in your planning meeting. External suppliers must provide insurance details in advance.
Flexible catering support
- External catering policy: our in-house kitchen can create menus around your traditions, or you are welcome to appoint a specialist caterer by arrangement, subject to our supplier policy.
- Kitchen & preparation allocation: a dedicated preparation and service area can be allocated to external caterers, with access times agreed in advance.
- Insurance requirements: external suppliers must provide valid public liability insurance and food hygiene documentation before the event.
- Corkage: where applicable, corkage terms are confirmed with your quotation.
Mehndi · Walima · Reception
Host each part of your celebration with us — from a vibrant Mehndi evening to the wedding day itself and the Walima or reception that follows.
- Event sequencing: run each event in a different space, or on consecutive days, with one coordinator throughout.
- Extended hire options: multi-day hire with longer access windows for décor and staging, subject to availability.
- Accommodation: 43 en-suite bedrooms at the hotel, with room blocks available for family and travelling guests.
Frequently asked questions
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes — external and specialist caterers are welcome by arrangement, subject to our supplier policy. A preparation area can be allocated and insurance requirements are confirmed in advance. Our own kitchen team can also create menus around your traditions.
What access time do we receive?
Access times vary by space, day of the week and hire format. Set-up and clear-down allowances are agreed in advance and confirmed when your booking is made, with extended access available for larger installations.
Is there space for staging and décor installation?
Yes. The Ballroom and Seaton Suite accommodate staging, mandaps, backdrops and full décor installations. Our team will walk you through logistics and access during your showround.
Are there capacity limits?
Yes. The Ballroom seats up to 300 guests for a banquet (350 for ceremonies), and the Seaton Suite up to 160 (250 for ceremonies). See the spaces section above for details.
Do you allow cultural décor and custom styling?
Absolutely. We welcome rich cultural décor and custom styling, and work with your chosen décor suppliers to bring your vision to life.
Is parking available for guests?
Yes. Free on-site parking is available for your wedding party and guests, with electric vehicle charging points.
